Music Licensing

Wooden Bird Productions can connect you with a small curated catalog of quirky covers, originals and jazz available for licensing.

Oded Lev-Ari

Threading, the debut album by composer/pianist Oded Lev-Ari, features cinematic chamber jazz reminiscent of the cool jazz sound of Gil Evans and his contemporaries. The track “Lost & Found” was used in the hit Showtime show, Black Monday. Tracks from this album have also been used by filmmaker/photographer James Stenson.

Amy Cervini

Vocalist Amy Cervini’s composition catalogue includes, “Je Danse Avec la Neige,” a hot-jazz song with lyrics in French which translate to “I Dance with the Snow,” a wistful and churning song, “Penguin Dance” that has elements of both jazz and folk music and “I Don’t Know,” a powerful blues that speaks to the feeling of being lost and confused after making bad choices.

Quirky Covers

Putty Boy Strut by Flying Lotus is reimagined here by Anat Cohen with the clarinet taking center stage.

No Rain by Blind Melon is thoughtfully rearranged by Ernesto Cervini and his band Turboprop with a lush 3 horn take on the melody.

Accordion, Bass Clarinet, String Quartet…this is the definition of quirky! Amy Cervini’s take on Lovefool by the Cardigans shifts between tango feel and doo-wop and gives this song a completely new feel.

Jazz Standards - Instrumental

Looking for a recognizable jazz standard without a vocalist? We’ve got plenty of options for you. For example:

Whether you know Sweet Georgia Brown from watching the Harlem Globetrotters or from your favorite jazz album, Anat Cohen’s exciting version will delight you.

This version of Lush Life, with Avishai Cohen singing the melody through his trumpet sets just the right mood.

Classic jazz at its best…this version of Pennies from Heaven will take you back to a time when the drinks were flowing and dancing was everyone’s favorite activity.

The 3 Cohens take on the Dixieland classic, Tiger Rag, is sure to get you toes tapping. With a nod to more modern jazz but a big hat tip to the Original Dixieland Jazz Band.

Soulful saxophone is what Joel Frahm is all about. Hear that and more in this version of Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most.
